After 20 wonderful years, we have closed our Bed and Breakfast and will not be booking any new guests. We would like to thank the thousands of guests that have stayed at our B&B. And to say that we have been blessed by how many of y’all have become repeat guests and friends. Even though we are not booking any new guests, if you have stayed with us before and would like to stay again, please give us a call and we might have the Cottage or Guest House available for you. New inquires about staying at a B&B, we would like to suggest you contact
www.texasbb.org. You will find wonderful lodging experiences with the B&B’s that are listed in these two Associations.
We are changing the B&B into our personal residence where friends, family and previous guests might come for a quiet getaway. This will provide us time to enjoy our 65 acres, visit family and friends and to travel.
Romantic stays highlight our
guests' requests, but we also have accommodations for small weddings
and receptions, scrapbooking
and quilting groups, church retreats, leadership retreats, birdwatchers,
stargazers, horse clients, reunions and anniversary celebrations.
Whether napping in our sun-glistened Gazebo or walking the trails as you visit with our llama and donkey on the 65 acres of woods & meadows of our North Texas farm, lodging at Alexander Bed&Breakfast Acres is like "going home."
The dream of our B&B was conceived in January of 1980, becoming a reality in 1985 when we purchased the 65 acres of woods and meadows that we believe provides the peaceful setting for a relaxing time away. The Main House was begun in 1993 after reviewing hundreds of photographs of historic homes across the United States. It was built specifically as a bed and breakfast with the latest technological conveniences but the historical aspect of a turn-of-the-century home.
The initials of Alexander Bed and Breakfast Acres, ABBA, not only represent our name, but ABBA is the name the Bible uses for God, which means "Daddy." Different in meaning from just "Father," this name speaks of the close relationship that is full of security, rest and peace. May the peaceful rest of this country place be yours and may the invitation of God to be your "Daddy" bring peace to your heart!
